GUIDELINES FOR VISITORS
Welcome to the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society of North Texas! Please review the guidelines below to make the most of your visit with us.
Visiting Hours: The Vedanta Society is open for programs at the times listed on on the Calendar page of our website HERE or under Special Events.
All other visits are only by prior appointments made with Pravrajika Brahmaprana, the resident minister. You can request an appointment by Email: dfwvedanta@gmail.com.
Health Protocol: If you are experiencing any flu or COVID-19 symptoms, please postpone your visit
until you have recovered. All the programs at the Vedanta Society are on Zoom. Check the Calendar page HERE on our website for the link, and Email
dfwvedanta@gmail.com for the Passcode at least 2 hours before the program begins. Our programs can also be watched later on our YouTube channel
HERE.
Children’s Program: The Children’s program on Sundays will resume mid-September 2023. Please see the Sunday School subheading on the Home page for further details. Children are also welcome to attend the regular Sunday program provided they remain with their parents at all times and refrain from making noise during the program.
Parking: If you are arriving by car, there is a parking lot at the Vedanta center. Limited parking is also available only on the Vedanta center’s side of the
street at 119-125 W. Scotland Dr., so as not to obstruct two-way street traffic. Otherwise please park on No. Britain. See the parking map HERE.
The Ramakrishna Vedanta Society of North Texas was founded in 2006 in Irving, Texas.
Spiritual Founder: Swami Swahananda, Former Minister-in-charge of the Vedanta Society of So. California.
Spiritual Leadership: Swami Sarvadevananda, Minister-in-charge of the Vedanta Society of So. California.
Spiritual Advisor: Swami Ishtananda, Minister of the Vedanta Center of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Resident Minister: Pravrajika Brahmaprana.
Scheduled activities: include lectures, classes, retreats, workshops, and pujas. See our Calendar.
Interviews: are available to those who seek clarification of questions raised in lectures and classes. There is no charge for these interviews or for spiritual instruction. Appointments with the Resident Minister (Mataji) may be made at the Center.
Private Instruction in spiritual practice is available by appointment.
Meditation Sessions, Classes, Retreats, and Intensives available at the Center.
Yoga classes offered at the Center in the spring and fall.
Reading: a large selection of books on Vedanta, including a lending library is at the Center.
Recordings: MP3 recordings of the lectures and retreat talks are available at the Center.
